Alfred R. Balboa, Jr. age 26 of Victoria passed away Monday, March 9, 2020. He was born November 20, 1993 in Victoria to Alfred Balboa Sr. of Victoria and Dolores Ortiz Balboa of Victoria. Alfred graduated Victoria West High School in 2012. He played the trombone in the VWHS band. He was also top 10% of his class. Alfred loved to watch the Dallas Cowboy games surrounded by his loving family. On his free time, he would play Call of Duty and Halo on the Xbox one or go fishing with his father and siblings. Alfred was loving, caring, compassionate and kindhearted towards his family. He is survived by his parents; sister, Christina Balboa of Victoria; brothers, Eutiquio Perez III (Adriana) of Port Lavaca and Andrew Balboa of Victoria; maternal grandparent, Mary Lou Ortiz of Port Lavaca; paternal grandparents, Dominga and Antonio Balboa of Victoria. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Manuel R. Ortiz, Sr. Visitation will begin Monday, March 16, 2020 from 5 – 9pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Victoria. Visitation will resume Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 8:15am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2901 Pleasant Green Victoria, Texas 77901, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9am. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Balboa, Eutiquio Perez III, Rocky Balboa, Nick Martinez, Daniel Balboa, E.P. Manuel Sanchez, Chris A. Calzada and Johnny Balboa. Honorary Pallbearers will be Manuel Quintanilla and Michael Villarreal. Under the direction of Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Victoria, 361-575-3212.
