Elias De La Garza Sr., age 89 of Victoria passed away Monday, March 2, 2020. He was born August 10, 1930 in Victoria to the late Carlos De La Garza and Maria Cruz Moya De La Garza. He is survived by his daughters, Vicenta Cano of El Campo, Juanita Cano of Victoria, Carmen Tijerina (Manuel Sr.) of Victoria, Jovita De La Garza Medina of Victoria; sons, Benjamin Garcia Sr. of Houston, Felix Garcia Sr. (Susie) of Houston and Elias De La Garza Jr. (Alice) of Victoria. He is also survived by numerous loved grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jovita De La Garza; son, Antonio Garcia; brothers, Juan De La Garza, Thomas Moya and Guadalupe De La Garza. Visitation will begin Monday, March 9, 2020 from 8am – 12noon with a Rosary to be recited at 11am at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Victoria. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church at 1pm. Burial to follow at De La Garza Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roman Medina, Isaiah Munoz, Augustin Tijerina, Javier Tijerina, Ben Garcia Jr., Oscar Cano, John Albert Garcia and Ruben Cano.
